The Modus Concepts team comprises of extremely qualified and experienced staff drawn from multi-national disciplines including former Special Forces, Intelligence Services and Law Enforcement professionals.
INSTRUCTORS
P.T.
P.T. is a highly decorated combat veteran with over 20 years of experience as an infantryman in the Canadian Army. He has served on operations in Croatia, Bosnia and Afghanistan. He also supported the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command as a Resistance to Interrogation Instructor.
D.C.
D.C. served in the British Army with United Kingdom Special Forces in direct support to the Special Air Service on counter-terrorism, intelligence and anti-narcotics operations throughout the Balkans, Central America and the Middle & Far East. Since leaving the Army in 2004, D operated in a Diplomatic Security role with the United Kingdom Foreign & Commonwealth Office in England and Saudi Arabia and then went on to operate with the United States Department of Defense OGA in a Security & Intelligence role in Iraq and Afghanistan.
S.M.
S.M. is a veteran of the Canadian Military and brings over 15-years of private-security experience to Modus Concepts. Since leaving the Army, S has provided close protection services throughout the Middle East and Europe and close protection training in the United States. Since 2002, after partnering with a production company, S has been working in the film and television industry in both a security role and that of a professional actor, special effects consultant and pyro-technician.
D.R.
D.R. is a court qualified, expert witness with over 35-years experience training both military and civilian close protection operatives for operations in conflict and post-conflict regions throughout the world. Certified by the Central Military Academy in Nanjing, D is the only civilian to train with the Bodyguard Instructors Unit of the People’s Liberation Army in China. He has received numerous awards and accolades, including a Presidential Award and honorary badges from Chinese Special Forces/Amphibious Commandos (ROC).
T.H.
T.H. is a serving Corrections Officer with over 20-years experience dealing with violent and high-risk offenders. As a former Tactical Team member and current Emergency Response Team member, T brings a wealth of knowledge and current high-risk experience to Modus Concepts. He has been involved in combat arts since 1979, practicing Hapkido, Kenpo, Mahjong Longhorn Kung Fu and Brazilian Jujitsu.
K.S.
K.S. is an active Emergency Response Team member with over 20-years experience as a Corrections Officer focusing on the protection of violent and high-risk offenders within a prison environment. K has practiced martial arts since 1972 with a background in Shotokan Karate, American Kenpo and Wing Chun. He has also provided training to some of Canada’s largest corporations and institutions and is a certified NCCP coach.
S.D.
S.D. is a Partner & Director of Diligence Communications, a division of Diligence LLP and partner-company of Modus Concepts. With a diverse career in public and media relations, S has developed and managed a variety of public and media relations campaigns and is well poised to advise and instruct students on Crisis Communications and the importance of Media Training to front-line operators; both proactively and reactively.
